EUDAMED

The European Database on Medical Devices (EUDAMED) is a digital platform and database. It is developed by the European Commission as part of the implementation of the MDR and the IVDR.

It serves as an information repository of the lifecycle of medical devices and IVDs that are made available in the EU. Once the EUDAMED is fully functional, it will be composed of six modules and a public website:

The use of EUDAMED is not yet completely mandatory nor required. Some modules (No. 1, 2, and 3) are already available and can be used.

A timeline until full functionality of the EUDAMED is provided here: Link
